I'm going where my body leads me

I got into my van with enough mushrooms to choke a horse and started driving down the coast with nowhere to go. After a few weeks, I was writing a novel, which is where I finally found my narrative voice…. It was a while before that voice started manifesting in a musical way, but once I settled in the Laurel Canyon spider-shack where I’m living now, I spent months demoing all these weird-ass songs about weird-ass experiences almost in real-time, and kind of had this musical ‘Oh-there-I-am’ moment, identical to how I felt when I was writing the book."

Es por eso que creo que la canción y el video se trata de probar cosas nuevas, nocivas, destructivas.

Oh pour me another drink
And punch me in the face
You can call me Nancy
Every man wears a symbol
And I know I have mine
I've got my right hand stamped
In the concentration camp where my organs scream "slow down, man!"

How was I to know
That milk and honey flow
Just a couple states below

Oh hook me up to the tank
And roll me to the door
I'm going where my body leads me
I can fend for myself
With what looks I have left
I'll put away a few
And pretty soon I'll be breaking things like Howard Hughes

How was I to know
Milk and honey flow
Just a couple states below

Forgive me how it was
A place under the sun
Before the devil made me run
Run boy, run boy
